The beginning of the second semester 22/23 at ILCF

Director Franck Violet and his team welcomed international newcomers to the Institute on Monday, February 13.

More than 450 international students enrolled in ILCF programs have begun a new semester of classes at UCLy's Carnot campus.

Members of the administration welcomed the newcomers on Monday, February 13 in the Jean-Paul II amphitheater. The director, Franck Violet, and his team then presented the course and procedures for the semester, which will end on May 26.

A complete program in French

They have come from nearly 60 different countries. Some of them have already started learning French, while others will attend their first classes here in Lyon. A minimum of 16 hours per week of French language classes awaits these students. The program includes courses specific to certain sectors, such as business, cinema, international relations, and preparation for the DELF and DALF exams, among many others.

A rich student life and cultural activities

These four months at the Institute will be an opportunity to immerse themselves in French culture and to discover the region. In order to make them live the Lyon experience, many activities are already organized for the young internationals, from intercultural meetings within the campus to historical walks in the city. The Student Desk has also planned a number of outings. Two members of the BDE, including the president, came to present their ideas to the assembly. The program of activities was handed out on Thursday, February 16: the first outing took place on the 22nd. The team expresses its joy to receive these new faces.
