UCLY\n has set up a daily monitoring unit in order to adapt its measures to \nthe evolution of the COVID-19 epidemic in conjunction with the relevant \ndepartments of the University of Lyon and UDESCA. Find below the first \nrecommendations and provisions in place at our university.<\/p>
By\n decision of the public authorities, the UCLy will be closed to students\n from Monday 16 March. Only personnel with badges will be allowed to \nenter our campuses.<\/p>
The Rector Pr Olivier ARTUS<\/p>
As\n it has been announced yesterday evening by the French President, the \ngovernment has decided to close all the schools and universities on the \nFrench territory from next Monday. In accordance with this, Lyon \nCatholic University is suspending all face-to-face academic activity. \nThis measure will take effect from Monday March 16th<\/sup> and will\n remain effective until a new decision from the French Government. UCLy \nwill thus be closed to students from Monday March 16th<\/sup>, until further notice. <\/em><\/p> Given\n this exceptional situation, the Rector of the University, Fr Olivier \nARTUS, has given indications to cancel incoming mobility actions that \nare scheduled to start from today on or postpone them until new \ndevelopments. In all cases, contact our International Relations office (<\/em>ri@univ-catholyon.fr<\/em><\/a>) for updates before making any travel arrangements. <\/em><\/p> UCLy\n will be implementing specific dispositions for the current semester to \nfacilitate remote academic continuity or adaptation of academic \nactivities. Each UCLy Department will shortly convey all the useful \ninformation regarding these dispositions. All students have been \nnotified today. Information related to the evolution of the situation \ncan be consulted on our website which will be updated regularly. <\/em><\/p> We will of course keep you updated. Should you require further information, please do not hesitate to contact us.<\/em><\/p> During\n the closing time of our institution, all means will be used to ensure \nthe continuity of the educational activity, including exams.<\/p> Specific\n communications will be regularly sent to students by the Vice-Rectorate\n in charge of Training, Academic Life and Student Life.<\/p> All UCLy \nstudents have an e-mail address and access to the MOODLE platform to \nview their messages and access the course materials posted by their \nteachers.<\/p> To limit the risk of contagion and given the suspension \nof face-to-face teaching, a permanent link, during the usual working \ndays and opening hours, will be possible between teachers and students \nvia email addresses.<\/p> The IT department is available to teachers and students for possible assistance by email to: helpdesk@univ-catholyon.fr.<\/p> The\n purpose of all of these measures is to enable the University to \ncontinue its mission, in a context of viral circulation and implying \nspecial measures to limit its spread.<\/p> Access to the campuses will be controlled by security guards to prevent anyone outside the establishment from entering.<\/p> The\n end of the epidemic will be reported by the authorities and relayed, in\n particular, by the media. Students will be informed by email, SMS \nmessages, posters on the campuses, on the ucly.fr website and via social\n networks (from UCLy accounts). Wherever\n you are, students will be able to have an access to a large part of \nHenri de Lubac library\u2019s collection from the UCLy\u2019s website, under the \nsection Biblioth\u00e8que\/Ressources num\u00e9riques<\/a>.<\/p> A large part of our collection is available online campus: click on the section \u201cacc\u00e8s nomade\u201d and surf on various platforms.<\/p> If you need, you can always find help online using the section \u201cAteliers\u201d.
