On Thursday June 12th, the B2 level students of one of our teachers, Ithiana Ouamara, took a course dedicated to the art of interviewing. And what better way to learn the techniques than to be out in the field? With this in mind, Ithiana Ouamara chose to give her course in the heart of an emblematic site of Lyon's culture: Les Halles de Lyon - Paul Bocuse, named after the famous Lyon chef who left his mark on French gastronomy.<\/p>

Here's what the teacher had to say about this little school trip:<\/p>

Why did you decide to do this activity?<\/h3>

\"My B2 class and I went to Les Halles Paul Bocuse in Lyon for an interview activity. The students had to meet shopkeepers and ask them questions about their trade, products and Lyon's gastronomy.\"<\/p>

What was the aim behind this outing?<\/h3>

\"The aim was to get them to practice their French in an authentic context, while discovering a place emblematic of local culture. The outing not only strengthened their oral skills, but also their cultural curiosity.\"<\/p>

What do you think the students learned from this outing?<\/h3>

\"According to the students' feedback, they really enjoyed the activity. They enjoyed interacting with real professionals and discovering a place rich in history and flavors. This experience motivated them to express themselves more in French, and to learn more about the vocabulary surrounding gastronomy.\"<\/p>
