It is a member-institute of UCLy's Faculty of Literature and Languages.<\/p><p>Founded in 1875 and accredited as an EESPIG (\u00c9tablissement d'Enseignement Sup\u00e9rieur Priv\u00e9 d'Int\u00e9r\u00eat G\u00e9n\u00e9ral), UCLy (Universit\u00e9 Catholique de Lyon) draws on 150 years of experience. It has two campuses in Lyon (Carnot and Saint-Paul) and a third in Annecy (Alpes Europe).<\/p><div class=\"wp-block-text-image\">\n  <div class=\"row align-bottom collapse\">\n    <div class=\"column small-12 medium-6 xlarge-5 xxlarge-expand wp-block-text-image-info js-fade-scroll\">\n      <p class=\"wp-block-text-image-title\">The French Language and Culture Institute<\/p>\n      <div class=\"wp-block-text-image-intro\"><p>the ILCF is situated in the heart of Lyon, the third-largest city in France.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n    <\/div>\n\n    <div class=\"column small-12 medium-6 xlarge-7 xxlarge-shrink wp-block-text-image-picture js-fade-scroll\">\n      <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"810\" height=\"560\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ilcf.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/20\/2020\/10\/header-ilcf-accueil-810x560.jpg\" class=\"attachment-text_image size-text_image\" alt=\"ILCF cours de fran\u00e7ais \u00e0 Lyon\" \/>    <\/div>\n  <\/div>\n<\/div><p>Founded in 1875 and boasting EESPIG status as a Public Interest Private School of Higher Education, UCLy is over 148 years old. It has two campuses in Lyon (carnot and Saint Paul) and one in Annecy (Alpes Europe).<\/p><h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Did you know<\/strong>? <\/h2><p>The French language is, now more than ever, a language of the future: in 2050 French will become the third most widely-spoken language worldwide thanks to the demographic and economic vitality of the African continent in particular. The goal of ILCF Lyon is to advance the importance of French, not just as a cultural language, but as a language that is vital to employment and the economy in general, within a global context.<\/p><h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Citizens of the world, welcome home!<\/h2><p><strong>Being a student at the ILCF will give you the opportunity of meeting other people, of living together<\/strong> in a fraternal society and advancing the cause of peace through intercultural and inter-religious dialogue; it is also about being actively involved in the economy and culture, and a decision-maker in the future.<\/p><p>ILCF Lyon is <strong>1 official examination centre too, a dozen examinations and diplomas available<\/strong>, a wide range of specialised French courses, <strong>FLE* and UNESCO Club Quality certifications<\/strong>.
